GS Executive is the executive search firm of GS Advisory Group. We recruit leaders at every level, from Head of to CEO, including Conducting Officers and ExCo members, for banks, investment firms, management companies and industrial groups.
We do not publish client names. We are happy to talk about these searches in person.

GS Executive is the leadership search brand of GS Advisory Group.
The Group places finance and technology consultants and permanent hires with banks, fund managers, insurers and public institutions. We bring that daily knowledge of their teams to every leadership search.

First by your board, then by the regulator. A candidate who convinces the first but not the second costs you months and a new search.
Our scorecard therefore includes, from day one, the requirements set by the texts that apply to the seat.
Private banks, retail and corporate banks, custodian banks.
Asset managers, wealth managers, family offices.
UCITS management companies, AIFMs, depositaries, fund administrators.
Private equity, real estate, infrastructure and private debt houses.
Leaders for their central functions (finance, IT, legal, operations, HR) and their business units.
Exclusive searches, led by a partner.
Criteria and weights agreed with you before any approach.
Direct, discreet approach, including leaders who are not looking.
Candidates scored against the scorecard, references checked.
Offer, regulatory approval, first six months: we stay involved.
Senior moves are sensitive for the company, for the person leaving, and for the candidate. Here is how we protect each of them.
Every mandate runs under a code name. Your company is never named in our approaches until you agree.
We sign your non-disclosure agreement, or ours, before any detail of the role is shared.
A candidate's employer never learns of a search from us. Profiles are shared with you only with the candidate's consent.
Personal data is used only for the search, kept no longer than needed, and deleted on request.
A leadership hire in a supervised entity is also a regulatory file. We build each search around the rules that apply to the seat.
In a Luxembourg management company, Conducting Officers must meet the CSSF requirements on governance, substance and professional standing. We assess candidates against them before the shortlist.
Reference: CSSF Circular 18/698Key function holders are assessed for suitability: knowledge, experience, reputation, independence and time commitment. Our scorecard covers each point.
Reference: EBA and ESMA joint guidelines on suitability (EBA/GL/2021/06)Since January 2025, financial entities must manage ICT risk under DORA, with clear accountability at management level. Technology leaders now need regulatory credibility as much as technical depth.
Reference: Regulation (EU) 2022/2554, DORAYes. Each search is exclusive and led by a partner from the brief to the appointment.
Your company name is shared with candidates only with your agreement, and candidates are presented to you only with theirs. An NDA can be signed before the first meeting.
We recruit for roles based in Luxembourg, France and Belgium, and source candidates across Europe when the seat requires it.
Fees are agreed per mandate, based on the role and its package. We give you a written proposal after the first meeting.
If the person leaves during the probation period, we run the search again at no additional fee.
A first conversation with a partner, under a confidentiality agreement if you wish. Candidates can write to us in the same way.
